CBR - Relay Box for Lighting
+ DOCUMENTATION
The CBR is used for controlling lighting systems without causing current spikes when fluorescent fixtures with HF ballasts are switched on.
- Lighting can be grouped into lighting zones.
- The lighting can be turned on or off based on presence signals from the lighting zone or through a push-button.
- The dual relay technology eliminates disturbances on the power grid when multiple fixtures are switched on simultaneously.
- Through the connection to the active room climate control, logging of switch operations and lighting times can be performed.
For a DALI solution for lighting control, refer to the SBDb control unit.
Technology for Eliminating Current Spikes
Fluorescent fixtures with HF ballasts and T5 tubes are often used in a room to achieve high efficiency and thereby lower energy consumption. Typically, a presence detector controlling a contactor is used to manage the lighting in such a room. However, at the moment of activation, significant current spikes of up to 200 A can occur. These spikes can cause disturbances on the power grid, potentially affecting computers and communication networks. Lindinvent's CBR relay box eliminates the risk of current spikes when turning on lighting systems.
